[New Integration] Ybug + ClickUp
What’s in this article
The Ybug integration with ClickUp will enable you, your teammates and clients to report bugs and feedback as tasks right into your ClickUp! Any bugs or feedback are added directly to your ClickUp Workspace, so your team can review, prioritize and resolve issues without copying details from one tool to another.
If you already manage product work, website fixes or client requests in ClickUp, this integration gives you a cleaner way to turn visual feedback into actionable tasks. Instead of asking reporters to describe what they saw, where it happened and which browser they used, Ybug captures that context automatically and sends it to the right ClickUp list.
What is ClickUp?
ClickUp is an awesome collaboration and project management tool. Its main goal is to make your business life easier by keeping tasks, documents, goals and team communication in one place.
For product, QA and web teams, ClickUp is often where daily work already happens: bugs are triaged, tasks are assigned, priorities are discussed and releases are planned. That is exactly why connecting Ybug with ClickUp is useful. Feedback no longer sits in a separate inbox waiting for someone to manually translate it into a development task.
Why connect Ybug with ClickUp?
Website feedback is most useful when it arrives with enough detail to act on it. A message like "the checkout page is broken" usually creates more questions than answers. Which page? Which browser? What did the user click? What did the screen look like?
With the Ybug + ClickUp integration, each report can become a ClickUp task that includes the important context your team needs:
- a screenshot of the page where the feedback was submitted,
- visual annotations from the reporter,
- the page URL, browser and operating system details,
- the reporter’s message and contact details when available,
- a direct place in ClickUp where the task can be assigned, prioritized and discussed.
This keeps your bug reporting workflow simple for clients and non-technical teammates while still giving developers the technical details they need.
How to install?
- Go to your Ybug dashboard, select a project, click the Integrations tab and enable the ClickUp integration.
- You will be redirected to ClickUp to authorize the Ybug app. Select any teams you want Ybug to connect with and click the Connect button.
- Once you authorized our app, you will be redirected to the integration settings, where you can choose into which task list you want new bugs/feedback be added. As ClickUp organizes things hierarchically, you need to choose a Workspace, Space and Folder first. Folderless task lists are also supported.
Ybug integration with ClickUp
By integrating your Ybug account with your ClickUp Workspace, you will be able to collect visual feedback, suggestions and bug reports from your team or clients as tasks right into your ClickUp account. Ybug will automatically attach a screenshot and some important information about the browser environment.
A practical workflow for website feedback
Here is a simple workflow you can use once the integration is connected:
- Create a dedicated ClickUp list for incoming website feedback, bug reports or client review notes.
- Connect that list in Ybug so every new report lands in one predictable place.
- Add a triage step where a project manager, QA lead or developer reviews new tasks once or twice per day.
- Assign ownership directly in ClickUp and move confirmed issues into your normal development workflow.
- Close the loop by updating the task status when the issue is fixed, tested and released.
This works especially well for teams that review staging websites with clients. Clients can point at the exact issue on the page, add a short comment and submit it through Ybug. Your team receives a ClickUp task with the screenshot, URL and environment details already attached.
Example: client feedback during a website launch
Imagine an agency preparing a new pricing page for launch. The client reviews the staging site and notices that a call-to-action button looks misaligned on a tablet. Without Ybug, the client might send an email like "the button is off on the pricing page," and the team would still need to ask which device, which browser and which section of the page.
With Ybug and ClickUp connected, the client reports the issue directly on the page. A ClickUp task is created with the annotated screenshot, page URL and browser information. The designer can verify the layout issue, the developer can fix the CSS, and the project manager can track the task through review and completion without losing context.
Tips for getting better ClickUp tasks from Ybug
A few small setup decisions can make the integration even more useful:
- Use a clear list name. Names like "Website feedback" or "Ybug reports" make it obvious where new reports arrive.
- Agree on triage rules. Decide who reviews new feedback, how often it happens and which issues should be moved into a sprint or release list.
- Keep task statuses simple. For incoming reports, statuses such as New, Confirmed, In progress and Done are usually enough.
- Review duplicate reports before assigning work. Multiple users may report the same issue, especially during client review or user acceptance testing.
- Use ClickUp comments for follow-up questions. Keep discussion attached to the task so the decision history stays visible.
Who is this integration for?
The ClickUp integration is useful for any team that wants feedback to become trackable work immediately. It is a good fit for:
- web agencies collecting feedback from clients during design and development,
- SaaS teams collecting bug reports from internal testers or beta users,
- QA teams reviewing staging environments before release,
- product teams that already plan and prioritize work in ClickUp,
- support teams that need to pass visual bug reports to developers.
Try the ClickUp integration
If ClickUp is already part of your daily workflow, connecting it with Ybug is a simple way to reduce manual copy-paste work and keep feedback moving. Enable the integration in your Ybug dashboard, choose the ClickUp list where reports should go, and your next bug report can arrive as a ready-to-review task.
