How to set up

Configuration is per-project in Ybug. To integrate your project with YouTrack, go to your dashboard and follow these simple steps:

1. Go to the Integrations tab in your project settings.

2. Click the On/Off switch in the YouTrack row.

3.1 Enter the YouTrack URL. If you use YouTrack InCloud, we need just your subdomain (e.g. mycompany.youtrack.cloud). If you use YouTrack Standalone, we need the full URL of your YouTrack instance (e.g. https://youtrack.acme.com or https://acme.com/youtrack).

3.2 Enter your API token and click the Authenticate button. To create a new permanent token in YouTrack, please follow the steps described in How to create permanent token. Make sure you grant a YouTrack scope to your new token.

4. Choose the YouTrack project where new issues should be created. You can also set optional defaults for new issues:

• Initial status — choose the status new issues should use, for example Open, so they appear in the right board column immediately.
• Parent issue — search for a task, milestone, or other issue and link new issues to it as subtasks.
• Assignee — choose the initial assignee.

Click the Save settings button when you are done. You can test the integration by clicking the Test button — Ybug will try to send a sample report using settings in the form.
