How feedback gets into Twist

Point-and-click capture

Users point at the bug — Twist gets the thread

A tester, client, or user clicks the Feedback button, marks the page, and writes what happened. Ybug turns that into a Twist thread, so the conversation starts with a screenshot instead of a mystery.

  • In-page widget — no Twist account needed for reporters
  • Annotations show exactly where the issue happened
  • Works on production, staging, and password-protected sites
Thread-ready context

Each Twist thread carries the useful details

The thread content can include the feedback text, annotated screenshot, source URL, reporter, reported time, browser, OS, screen size, viewport, console summary, attachments, video link, and a link back to the full report in Ybug.

  • Feedback becomes a new Twist thread
  • Screenshot, URL, and browser context can travel with it
  • Choose which report details appear in the thread

Async triage

Send reports to the channel that owns them

Pick the Twist team and channel for each Ybug project. Send every report automatically when speed matters, or keep forwarding manual when you want to review feedback before it reaches the channel.

  • Choose one Twist team and channel per Ybug project
  • Auto-create threads, or forward selected reports manually
  • Close reports after sending when Ybug is just the intake layer

Give developers the context they’ll ask for anyway

When JavaScript errors matter, Ybug can include a console summary and link back to the full report. Developers can decide whether a thread needs code-level attention before recreating the issue.

  • Console error and warning summary when enabled
  • Browser, OS, screen, viewport, and URL included
  • Full Ybug report stays one click away

Why async teams use
Ybug with Twist

No screenshot chasing

Annotated screenshots can appear inside the thread, so your team sees the issue before the discussion starts.

Context in every thread

Each thread can include URL, reporter, browser, OS, viewport, custom fields, and report links.

Developer clues included

Console summaries help developers spot frontend errors without digging through another tool first.

Manual or automatic handoff

Create Twist threads automatically, or review reports in Ybug before forwarding the useful ones.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Twist integration do?

Ybug creates a new Twist thread when a report is forwarded. The thread can include the feedback, screenshot, source URL, reporter, browser context, console summary, attachments, video link, and a link to the full report. For step-by-step setup, see the Twist setup guide.

Can I choose where Twist threads are created?

Yes. During setup you choose the Twist team and channel for the Ybug project. If you manage several products or clients, create separate Ybug projects and connect each one to the right channel.

Can I review reports before sending them to Twist?

Yes. You can create Twist threads automatically for every report, or keep automatic forwarding off and send selected reports from Ybug manually.

Can Ybug close reports after sending them to Twist?

Yes. Enable “Close report after sending to Twist” when you want Ybug to act as the intake layer and keep follow-up inside Twist.

Do Twist replies sync back to Ybug?

Not right now. Ybug creates the Twist thread and stores the external link, but replies in Twist don’t sync back into Ybug.

Can our users submit feedback without logging in?

Yes. Users can submit visual feedback and bug reports directly from your app in a few clicks – no signup or login required. Less friction means more useful feedback.
