Connect Codex
Codex is OpenAI's coding agent. It's a separate product from ChatGPT chat and has its own MCP setup. The Codex CLI, the Codex IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share one configuration, so you only add Ybug once.
Add the server from your terminal:
bash
codex mcp add ybug --url https://mcp.ybug.io/mcpThen sign in:
bash
codex mcp login ybugYour browser opens so you can approve access. You don't need an OAuth client ID. Codex registers itself with Ybug automatically.
If you prefer editing the config by hand, add this to ~/.codex/config.toml and run codex mcp login ybug afterwards:
toml
[mcp_servers.ybug]
url = "https://mcp.ybug.io/mcp"Run codex mcp list, or /mcp inside Codex, to check that Ybug is connected.
OpenAI's own guide: MCP in Codex.
Then check that it works.
